Presenting Speedi Coach:

Ariel Lim

Water Polo - Developmental
COACH, SPEEDI WATER POLO

My Aquatic Sports journey began in 2006 as a Competitive Swimmer. Eventually, I was selected to train under the Junior National Development Squad (Swimming) from 2012 to 2014. Love racing in the pool, I actively competed in various swimming meets, with major competitions such as the Singapore National Swimming Championships (SNSC) and the Singapore National Age Group Championships (SNAG). My pet events are 50m and 100m Freestyle and winning individual medals at the National School Games (Swimming).

In 2018, I transitioned into Women’s Waterpolo. I played in the Singapore Waterpolo National League (Women’s Open Category) in 2019 and 2020, as well as earning a team Gold Medal for Raffles’ Institution (RI) in 2019 National School Games (Waterpolo).

In 2021, I joined SPEEDI Water Polo Team as a Developmental Coach grooming young Water Polo players of both boys and girls, inclusive building up the swimming skill abilities of newcomers to the Aquatic Sports in SPEEDI. I love helping develop students who are just as passionate about water sports and safety as I am. I aim to bring out confidence and strength in the athletes in and out of the pool in the face of adversity.

One of my favourite quotes is,

“Our job is not to prepare students for something. It is to prepare themselves for anything.” — by A.J. Juliani.
