Training with SPEEDI Competitive Swimming Team

SPEEDI Competitive Swim Team focuses on Stroke Mechanic, Stroke Analysis coupled with Strength and Condition Training to enhance each swimmer’s potential.
The Developmental or “Pre-Squad” serves as bridging from Learn To Swim towards becoming a competitive swimmer, a platform for those who wish to join the SPEEDI Swim Team—developing the swimmer endurance and technique, learning the basics of being part of a swim team. Execute Dives and Turns for all 4 Competitive Swim Strokes, reading, and swimming using pace clock. Understand the workouts and training sets creates a routine for every competitive swimmer. Measuring pulse and swimming with stroke rates and learning how to swim efficiently form a fundamental skill of becoming a highly competitive swimmer.
As a young competitive swimmer, it is essential to swim and compete in all four (4) Competitive Swimming strokes, namely: freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke, and butterfly, well and not specialized with a particular stroke. Contact us for a Try-Out session to find out suitability and interest to be part of the SPEEDI Artistic Swim Team. Pre-requisite to join SPEEDI Competitive Swimming training squad required completion of SPEEDI Swim Skill stage 5 (SS5) or higher, ability to swim Freestyles, Backstroke, and Breaststroke, each of a distance 100m without struggling.
Pre-Squad athletes have many opportunities to race at the Club level swimming competitions and the School National Swim Championships. Such races are strongly encouraged to participate in gaining race experience and exposure.
The Competitive or “Junior squad” swimmers will be competing at the National Swim Meets, well qualified to be selected to race at Singapore National Age Group Championships (SNAG), and podium winners at the club level competitions and school swimming championships.
High Performance Squad
High Performance or “Senior squad” athletes will be competing at the National Championships, such as Singapore Open and International Swim Meets, representing either the Club or Team SINGAPORE, at the Elite level.
