Given that over 71% of our planet is covered by water, swimming transcends mere recreation; it is a fundamental survival skill. Acquiring this ability provides the crucial awareness and physical capacity to remain buoyant, make sound judgments, and offer assistance to yourself or others during aquatic emergencies.
Swimming offers an exceptional full-body workout, simultaneously building endurance, toning muscles, and significantly boosting cardiovascular health. Its uniquely gentle, low-impact nature makes it perfectly suited for adults, providing a sustainable exercise that supports holistic wellness, promotes relaxation, and fosters long-term fitness.

Level 1 introduces adult learners to the water in a calm and supportive environment, focusing on developing comfort, trust, and body awareness.
This foundational stage helps participants overcome any fear of water while learning how to stay relaxed and move safely. Through gentle exercises and guided practice, learners gain control of their breathing, balance, and buoyancy.
By the end of this level, participants will be able to enter and exit the pool confidently and maintain comfort in both shallow and slightly deeper areas.
Key Skills:

Level 2 focuses on building body coordination, stability, and rhythmic breathing to help adult learners move through the water with greater ease and confidence.
Participants will learn how to glide efficiently in a streamlined position and coordinate arm and leg movements for propulsion. This stage refines body alignment and introduces continuous motion in the water while emphasizing relaxed breathing control.
By developing smooth transitions between gliding, kicking, and breathing, swimmers gain confidence to maintain buoyancy and sustain motion independently.
Key Skills:

Level 3 builds on the foundational confidence and control developed in earlier levels, introducing the key swimming strokes used for lifelong fitness and recreation.
Adult learners will refine their body positioning and breathing coordination while learning the proper arm and leg techniques for freestyle, backstroke, and breaststroke. This level also focuses on building stamina and directional awareness through treading water and controlled movement.
By the end of this stage, swimmers can confidently swim up to 25 metres continuously with improved technique and endurance.
Key Skills:

Level 4 focuses on refining swimming techniques and building the endurance needed for continuous, efficient swimming. Adult learners will enhance their freestyle, backstroke, and breaststroke through improved coordination, breathing control, and body alignment.
This level introduces swimmers to underwater swimming with a surface dive. Swimming longer distances with pacing. Through progressive lap training and practice in lane discipline, participants develop rhythm, consistency, and the confidence to swim greater distances.
By the end of this level, swimmers can complete 50 metres with controlled technique and steady breathing.
Key Skills:

Level 5 challenges adult swimmers to refine their efficiency and master advanced swimming skills used in performance swimming. This stage introduces Butterfly, along with the techniques required for fast and smooth starts, turns, and underwater transitions.
Swimmers focus on maximizing propulsion through correct body alignment, streamline control, and consistent pacing over longer distances. With targeted drills, participants develop greater coordination and stamina while enhancing overall stroke quality.
By the end of this level, swimmers can confidently complete continuous 100m swims with improved rhythm and form.
Key Skills:

Level 6 equips adult swimmers with vital survival and self-rescue abilities for real-life water emergencies. Participants will learn how to remain calm and conserve energy through controlled movements and practical techniques such as survival strokes, underwater swimming, and safe deep-water entries.
This level emphasizes safety awareness, problem-solving, and efficient floating methods, even while clothed or using a PFD.
By mastering these skills, learners build the confidence to handle unexpected water situations with composure and independence, ensuring safety in both pool and open-water environments.
